A total of 35 refugees are expected to be deported to Turkey from the island of Lesvos on Tuesday, as part of the EU-Turkey agreement.

According to a report on lesvosnews.gr, most of them requested to return to Turkey, since they are unable to continue their journey to Europe. At present there are about 4,000 migrants and refugees at the Moria hot spot.

Many of them are allowed to come and go as they wish, since the 25-day maximum detention period – during which point applications for asylum are examined – for many has lapsed.
