The Greek statistics authority ELSTAT published its latest divs on the labor force and has estimated that the rate of unemployment during the second quarter of 2015 was 24.6%, with the employed amounting to 3,625,545 and the unemployed 1,180,141. This is a significant improvement compared the first quarter of 2015 and the second quarter in 2014, when the unemployment rate was 26.6%.
According to ELSTAT, the number of employed persons increased by 3.5% compared with the previous quarter and by 2.4% compared with the second quarter of 2014. The number of unemployed persons decreased by 7.3% compared with the previous quarter and by 7.8% compared with the second quarter of 2014.
