The president of PASOK Fofi Gennimata launched a fierce attack against the coalition government, from the stand in parliament, during the critical debate on the third bailout agreement.
Mrs. Gennimata claimed that the parliamentary process put an end to the “bailout versus anti-bailout” rhetoric that had been used to serve political considerations.
The PASOK leader stressed that the third bailout agreement was the harshest so far and accused government partners SYRIZA and the Independent Greeks of spreading hate and creating a schism in society.
According to Mrs. Gennimata, the bailout was not unavoidable, but rather came as a result of the Prime Minister’s handling and called him to assume his responsibilities.
Finally, the PASOK leader noted that the support from her party in Parliament will be determined on a case-by-case basis and should not be considered a given.
