The Supreme Court prosecutor has requested a parliamentary immunity lift for Golden Dawn MP Artemis Mattheopoulos, in order for him to stand trial in court, for robbery charges on the 30th of April.
According to the case file, Mattheopoulos along with Anastasios Triantafyllou and a group of other people assaulted and threatened another Greek man and stole his bag. Mattheopoulos and his group appear to have been harassing a foreigner, when the victim intervened. Mattheopoulos and his gang attacked and injured the man, before stealing his bag containing personal documents and items.
The case file also states that the underage-at-the-time Alexandros Kasidiaris, brother of the neo-Nazi party’s Ilias Kasidiaris, was in the group that assaulted the man, however he was later acquitted.
