The President of Democracy Karolos Papoulias has arranged to meet with the leaders of teacher federation OLME today at noon, in order to discuss the latest development in education, particularly suspensions, which run until the 22nd of March.
With many teachers facing dismissal after their period of suspension ends, OLME has announced that it will go on a three-day strike and demonstrations, on the 19th, 20th and 21st of March, demanding that the suspended teachers be reassigned.
Additionally OLME has demanded the reinstatement of education sectors and specializations which the coalition government recently abolished from its Technical Education curriculum.
