The Minister of Administrative Reform Kyriakos Mitsotakis is scheduled to meet with the President of Democracy Karolos Papoulias today at 1.30pm in order to discuss changes in public administration introduced by a new draft bill, as well as the new system of staff evaluation and other changes.

Before he meets the President though, Mr. Mitsotakis will come face to face with suspended school wardens who are protesting outside the Ministry of Administrative Reform since 8am this morning. The wardens demand that the Minister fulfills the promise he made on the 9th of January 2014 to make arrangements for all school wardens.

The nationwide warden union – which is reacting against the government decision to abolish school wardens entirely and induct them in a controversial suspension and mobility scheme – has warned that it will not accept half-measure and threatened to escalate protest actions if the Ministry does not fulfill its promises.
