Two Bangladeshis aged 33 and 25 years old have been arrested after assaulting and injuring two other Bangladeshis at Nea Manolada in Ilia. The two men worked as foremen on strawberry farms and are accused of withholding wages from other workers.

The two arrested men were accompanied by two more Bangladeshis and went to the slums in New Manolada, where they got into an argument over outstanding wages. During the argument, the 25-year-old and two others held the workers, while the 33-year-old stabbed them.

According to the police report, the 33-year-old Bangladeshi is the supervising foreman of the local strawberry fields and withheld 12,000 euros worth of wages, given to him by the field owners to pay the workers.
