The 300 members of Parliament who were elected on the 20th September elections, are set to take their oath on Saturday, the 3rd of October, with the election for a new President of Parliament scheduled for 11am on Sunday.

Following the secret vote for a new President of Parliament, voting will take place for the other positions in Parliament. Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras has reportedly proposed former minister Nikos Voutsis for the position and Tasos Kourakis for first Vice President. New Democracy is likely to propose Nikitas Kaklamanis for the position of Vice President.

The coalition government will begin making its policy statements on Monday, 5th of October, with the vote of confidence expected to take place at midnight on Wednesday, the 7th of October.
