The General Secretariat of Public Revenue published a circular on Tuesday which outlines the changes to the VAT for a variety of goods and services.
As expected, the circular introduces changes in the following goods and services, which will become more expensive:
- Tobacco products (cigarettes, rolling tobacco etc)
- Electronic cigarettes
- Alcoholic beverages (abolition of special discount in the Dodecanese islands)
- Introducing a special tax on beer
- Energy products (natural gas, diesel and gas)
- Coffee
