The Ministry of Labor, Social Insurance and Social Solidarity has announced that it will may a total payment of 4,687,469.88 euros for its “Guaranteed Social Income” program on Wednesday, the 23rd of December. The government program has 16,885 beneficiaries.
On Tuesday the Labor Ministry activated the Solidarity Card (which has 145,330 beneficiaries) for the sixth time. Under this scheme beneficiaries receive between 70 to 220 euros (depending on their declared income) per month towards food.
The Ministry also made a payment towards rent subsidy for 19,443 beneficiaries who have been included in the humanitarian crisis program.
