According to the monthly announcements of the General Accounting Office, the Greek State’s outstanding debts towards the private sector amounted to 3.245 billion euros in February, up from 3.099 billion euros in January.

The largest amount of the Greek State’s outstanding debts – about 1.886 billion euros – relates to social security organizations, while debts towards hospitals amounted to 787 million euros.

Furthermore, the General Accounting Office noted that between January and February, the State’s outstanding tax returns dropped from 648 million euros to 628 million euros.
