The Ministry of Education’s proposal for the so-called “eternal students” has been approved, meaning that thousands of students will have the opportunity to complete their studies.
According to the Ministry’s proposal, students who participated or applied to participate in the exam periods of the past two academic years will not face expulsion and will have until the 30th of April 2015 to complete their studies.
While the Minister of Education Andreas Loverdos initially favored expelling the so-called “eternal students”, the reactions to the prospect urged him to revise his thoughts. As such, the Ministry has decided to give students who have actively shown interest in completing their studies the opportunity.
