The Deree College football team and legendary Panathinaikos striker Kristof Warzycha’s select team of veteran and active players will be facing off in a charity match in support of “Doctors Without Borders” fund. The game will take place at the Deree college grounds on Monday the 20th of May at 6pm.

Kristof Warzycha’s team will include veterans such as Nikos Lymperopoulos, Stratos Apostolakis, Jozef Wandzik, Dimitris Saravakos, Grigoris Georgatos, Kostas Halkias, Angelos Basinas and Giannis Goumas, as well as young new players aged 22 to 24. In line with a recent advertising campaign, the game’s central message will be “a football match for the pain of others”.

Warzycha explained that “we are organizing this football match for the Doctors Without Borders for the seventh time. This year though we are player for a very special cause. For the pain of others”, while game organizer Kostas Amanatidis stressed that “through this game we also want to contribute towards the relief of the pain suffered by people in Greece and everywhere in the world”.
