The case of Konstantina Kouneva, who was assaulted with acid in 2008, will be examined on Tuesday.
The case is being examined as a “work accident” at labor disputes department of the First Instance Court in Piraeus. PEKOK, the union Kouneva belongs to, has stated that it will not participate in the trial, since they disagree with GSEE’s stance and claim the acid attack was not a “work accident”, but rather a “work murder attempt”.
Kouneva herself will also not be present, as she is in Paris undergoing a series of serious surgical operations. A solidarity protest has been organized outside the courts.
