During his speech in Parliament on the latest bill of prior actions, the former president of PASOK MP Evangelos Venizelos spoke of an “unstable government majority”, in response to the resignation of Gabriel Sakellaridis and the differentiation of Nikos Nikolopoulos.

Mr. Venizelos argued that these developments suggest a “premature crisis of the government’s Parliamentary legitimacy” only two months after the latest general elections and a prelude of what is to follow, given the difficult reforms which the government will have to push forward. The PASOK MP however praised Mr. Sakellaridis for following his consciousness and resigning.

Additionally, the PASOK MP lashed out against the Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras over the statements he made in his recent trip to Turkey. Mr. Venizelos argued that the Prime Minister essentially accepted the Turkish position that ‘violations from both sides must be avoided’.
