The leader of The River Stavros Theodorakis commented that his party “is far away from its targets and this raises concerns” after the publication of the official estimates, which he argued were ‘negative’ for his party.

Mr. Theodorakis elaborated that these concerns are related “to who is responsible for the mistakes and the party leader” and announced that a party meeting will soon be held in order to discuss what needs to change.

We are not optimistic, but we will be present in the opposition. We fought a great battle. We hope we can be just as useful” he stressed, while underlining that the high rate of abstention should not go unnoticed.

I have not spoken with Mr. Tsipras, nor is there a reason for me to do so. We would participate in a coalition government only if we had the power to define developments. The country could change course, but we return to January…” he added.
