The president of main opposition party New Democracy Antonis Samaras commented on the Prime Minister’s speech on Wednesday and accused him of lying and bankrupting Greece.

In his message, Mr. Samaras lashed out against the Prime Minister, claiming that while he rejected the current bailout program he is prepared to sign a third one. He stressed that the “anti-European choices” of the government have had a profound effect on the economy and unemployment.

Mr. Samaras argued that the Prime Minister has lost all credibility and has turned European leaders against Greece with the “parody of a referendum” that will be carried out on Sunday. The ND leader claimed the question that the Greek people will be called to answer has no meaning.

In conclusion, he urged the Greek people to vote ‘yes’ on Sunday, in order to ensure that Greece remains in the heart of Europe and within the Eurozone.
