POE-OTA announces demonstration and walk out on 16 June

The Panhellenic federation of municipal employees (POE-OTA) has announced a nation-wide walk out for the 16^th of June, effective from noon onwards.

According to the statement issued by POE-OTA, a demonstration will be held outside the Ministry of Finances in down town Athens, in response to the privatizations that are set to take place in waste management.

The federation argues that recent legislation promotes privatization of waste management and cleaning services, by using staff shortages as an excuse.
