The leader of SYRIZA Alexis Tsipras will head to Brussels today in order to discuss he latest development regarding the recent European elections results and the selection of a new president for the European Commission.
On Tuesday Mr. Tsipras has arranged to meet with his fellow candidates for the position, Martin Schulz, Ska Keller and Guy Verhofstadt. The meeting will take place in the European Parliament.
During his visit to Brussels, Mr. Tsipras will also meet with the leader of the European Left party Pierre Laurent, the chair of the GUE/NGL Gabriele Zimmer, the spokesperson of the Spanish political party Podemos Pablo Iglesias Turrión and the president of the Italian Left Ecology Freedom party Nichi Vendola.
