The former director of the Korydallos prison Maria Stefi will be facing disciplinary charges in relation to the escape of 17 November member Christodoulos Xiros during a scheduled leave from prison.
The disciplinary charges of gross negligence, which was ordered by the Minister of Justice Charalambos Athanasiou, will also be brought against the two department managers who filled in for Mrs. Stefi and the social workers who participated in the councils that granted the seven leaves of absence to Xiros.
Prior to the disciplinary proceedings brought against her, Mrs. Stefi had been transferred to a different post.
