The Government Vice President and Minister of Foreign Affairs Evangelos Venizelos has arranged to meet with the French Foreign Affairs Minister Laurent Fabius in Paris today.

On Tuesday Mr. Venizelos will participate in a joint meeting of the European Affairs and the Foreign Affairs – Defense committees of the French Senate.

The Foreign Affairs Minister is scheduled to travel to Washington D.C. on Thursday, where he will meet his American counterpart John Kerry. Mr. Venizelos will also meet with various Congress and Senate members during his stay in the USA.

Aside from Greek-American and NATO relations, the two ministers will discuss the Greek EU presidency, the Cypriot dispute, the naming dispute with FYROM, energy matters and Greece’s greater geostrategic role in the southeast Mediterranean.
