The residents of Chios have decided to boycott Olympic Air as they believe that the ticket price for a flight to Athens is excessive.
As they explain, the troubled airline cannot command such expensive ticket prices when flights to other European destinations can cost as little as one third of the price for a flight to Athens.
Instead, the residents have asked that the private Turkish airline which operates the flight between Smyrna and Athens to make a stop on Chios.
