A minor earthquake woke up Athenians this morning at around 4:56 am, which according to the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center measured 4.4 on the Richter scale.

The earthquake’s epicenter was estimated to be about 4 kilometers east of Pikermi in Attica, at a depth of about 10 kilometers. So far there have been no reports of any damages or injuries.

The professor of seismology Kostas Makropoulos commented on Mega Channel’s morning talk show that “there is no reason to worry, there is no history of large earthquakes in the area, and the fault line is small”.
