13.1.13

Christos Markogiannakis, the president of the Committee investigating the “Lagarde List” scandal, estimated that the Committee will extend its operation beyond the original 25th of February time-frame.

Mr. Markogiannakis warned that due to the slow rates he “would be pleased if we finished by the 25th of March” and that they would face any issues with banks. Mr. Markogiannakis also commented on the tension with other members of the Committee, admitting that some arguments were more intense than others.

Finally, Mr. Markogiannakis agreed to the proposal of installing cameras in the Committee room, to dispel any hints of withholding evidence and to restrain the attitude of Committee members.
