42 sector labor agreements ending, 600k employees affected

More than 600,000 employees will see their wages reduced with the end of 42 sector labor agreements this Thursday, the 14^th of February. The average wage cut is estimated to be 30% and most employees will have to seek individual contracts, should no new sector agreement be signed by the 14^th of May.

According a report by “Ta Nea”, the end of labor agreements in other sectors has lead to over 1.2 million employees in the private sector signing individual labor agreements.
