Farmers are reinforcing road blocks with more tractors all over Greece. Farmers from all over Greece, such Serres, Imathia, Pella, Giannitsa, Kavala, Drama and Xanthe, among other, are mobilizing. On Monday, Alexis Tsipras will meet with farmers at Orhomeno of Viotia.

Farmers in Pieria decided to participate in a protest outside the Tax Office in Katerini, without ruling out further action. Farmers in Orestiada and Feres are also preparing for action.

The Communist Party issued a statement in support of the farmers and maritime workers, calling for a “popular alliance and counterattack” against the “authoritarianism and measures that degrade the people”. They further stress the need for solidarity amongst employees.
