The ‘Rouvikonas’ anarchist group along with members of the Libertarian Initiative of Thessaloniki staged an ‘invasion’ of the American consulate in Thessaloniki on Tuesday morning.
According to the police report, about 15 individuals made it to the seventh floor of the commercial building where the consulate is housed. There, they threw flyers and attempted to hang a banner, however the police intervened and detained six.
In their statement published online, the group members note that they wish to participate early in the demonstrations against the arrival of the American President and issued a calling for mass demonstrations against war, the state, capitalism and imperialism.
