New Democracy spokesperson Giorgos Koumoutsakos underlined that the next few days will be critical for the country’s future. The spokesperson for the main opposition party further alleged that the coalition government intends to pass measures over 12 billion euros, while focusing the public debate on only 3.6 billion euros.

Each Greek citizen, Mr. Koumoutsakos argued, will essentially be paying 60% of income to the State. Regarding the ongoing negotiations, the ND spokesperson noted that the IMF’s demands are excessive, but are the result of the government’s failures and unreliability.
