The people of Zakynthos got an early start on Tuesday thanks to an earthquake measuring 5.2 on the Richter scale, which occurred at about 4:05am.
The earthquake, which took place in the southeast of Zakynthos, was felt across the island, with many aftershocks following.
According to the Institute of Geodynamics in Athens, the earthquake took place at a depth of about 10 kilometers.
So far there have been reports of any damages or injuries.
