The union of the Athens Metro employees (SELMA) has announced a 24-hour strike for Thursday, in protest of the constant decline in infrastructure and targeting of employees.

Union president Spyros Revythis told To Vima that the cost of repairing the damages recently caused at metro stations is over 100,000 for each station and denounced the targeting of employees.

Mr. Revythis warned that after the recent ticket hike, considerations for privatization will also be made.
