The spokesperson for the European Commission Margaritis Schinas has noted that there has been progress in the talks between the Greek government and its partners.
Mr. Schinas added that the discussion will continue on a political and technical level in order to reach an agreement in all sectors. Subsequently, the Eurogroup will evaluate the progress in implementing reforms.
Additionally, the spokesperson confirmed that Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras has had telephone communication with European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker in order to discuss preparations for the Eurogroup and management of the refugee crisis.
The European Commission President has also arranged to meet with Eurogroup President Jeroen Dijsselbloem for a business lunch, ahead of Monday evening’s critical Eurogroup session.
