The leader of the River Stavros Theodorakis has declared that his party will support any agreement with the country’s international creditors that the government submits in Parliament.

Mr. Theodorakis, who spoke to Mega Channel, argued that there was no other option at present and claimed that SYRIZA is not prepared to implement any reforms, but has rather “relied on the age old recipe…taxes, taxes, taxes”.

When asked about the prospect of early elections being called, the opposition party leader stressed that it would be mistake to go down that path during the summer, as it would have a catastrophic effect on tourism.

Nevertheless, he was confident that if elections were to be called and noted that in such a case the terms and steaks must be clear.
