A group of PASOK and DIMAR MPs, who disagree with how their party leaderships are trying expand their influence, met to discuss the future of the center left at a restaurant in the affluent Kolonaki area of down town Athens.

The meeting, according to a report by Ta Nea, was symbolically held at the “Tsipouro and Olive” restaurant and was planned to take place before the planned conventions of PASOK and DIMAR in the fall.

Present at the meeting were Philippos Sahinidis, Thanos Moraitis, Nikos Sifounakis, Symeon Kedikoglou, Yannis Panousis, Dimitris Anagnostakis, Thomas Psyrras, Niki Founta, Kostas Triantafyllos and Giorgos Kyritsis.

According to the newspaper report, the MPs are considering issuing a common statement to publicize their positions, while a more radical proposal that was debated involved creating a more radical political group, which would likely be treated hostility by their parties.
