On Friday the works of Solomos, Kavafis, Varnalis, Seferis, Ritsos and Elitis, among other Greek poets, will be projected in the subway and tram stations in Athens, in celebration of the International Day of Poetry.

According to the announcement of the Poet Circle, travelers will have the opportunity to discover the works of some of Greece’s greatest poets while waiting for their train or tram.

Furthermore, actors Panagiota Kostami, Dimitris Mavros, Maria Papafotiou and Katerina Pavlaki, along with a group of musicians will give a musical performance of Greek poems at the Metro stations at Syntagma (noon) and Monastiraki (1pm).
