The Rectors of the universities affected by the Ministry of Education’s suspension program for administrative employees have arranged an emergency meeting in Lavrio.

The administrative employees of the universities facing suspension have been on strike for over two months, meaning there is a very real possibility of the academic semester going to waste. The Rectors have explained that the universities will be unable to operate if the administrative staff is removed from key services.

Meanwhile, students at the Panteion University in Athens used book as bricks to build a wall blocking the entrance to the office of the Minister of Education Konstantinos Arvanitopoulos, who is also a professor on International Relations.
