Three contemporary Greek films will compete in the 24th Stockholm Film Festival, which is scheduled to take place between the 6th and 17th of November. Greece will be represented by Alexandros Avranas’ “Miss Violence”, Michalis Konstantatos’ “Luton” and Elina Psykou’s “The Eternal Return of Antonis Paraskevas”.
More than 170 films from 40 different countries will be show at the film festival in Stockholm, which also includes a number of seminars, meetings with film directors and sneak previews of various projects and work in progress.
Alexandros Avranas’ film bagged two awards at the Venice Film Festival, for best direction and male performance (Themis Panou). “Miss Violence” was also shown at the film festival of Reykjavik. “Luton” by Michalis Konstantatos was shown at the San Sebastian film festival and also participated in the BFI’s London Film Festival. Psykou’s “The Eternal Return of Antonis Paraskevas” has also participated in many film festivals, including this year’s festival in Berlin at the Forum
