SYRIZA MP Stathis Panagoulis caused a stir on Tuesday when commented via facebook on Adonis Georgiadis’ controversial outburst that he should fire all the employees of the Polyclinic in order to set an example.
Mr. Panagoulis wrote that the Minister of Health is a “carnival clown and psychopath” and that “he has made a mockery of politics”, before requesting from the employees at Dromokaitio psychiatric hospital in Dafni to «put him in a straitjacket» when he visits them.
The Minister of Health responded via an interview on ANT1’s morning chat show on Wednesday, noting that at the very least, the Opposition leader Alexis Tsipras should expel the MP from SYRIZA, since his comment offended thousands of people.
Mr. Panagoulis retorted that he simply reiterated what everyone is thinking and accused the Minister of “driving people crazy” and threatening healthcare staff with dismissals.
