Sintez leading the “bidding war” for DEPA

According to a report by Russian financial newspaper “Kommersant” Sintez has made the greatest offer for DEPA, the national natural gas company. The newspaper reports that Sintez has offered 1.9 billion euros, outmatching offers by Gazprom, the M&M GacCo consortium, the GEK/TERNA –PP consortium and Socar.

Sintez, which is owned by Russian magnate Leonid Lebedev, owns electrical power plants and real estate all over Russia. The Russian newspaper reported that TAIPED opened the data room for prospective investors between the 6^th and 13^th of February. Binding offers must be submitted by the 12^th of April.
