The Sunday night clash between groups of immigrants in down town Athens resulted in the death of one man.
The clash between the two groups took place at around 23:30 on the corner of Sokratous and Xouthou Street near Omonia square. The 28-year-old man was seriously injured in the leg and taken to a hospital, when he succumbed to his wounds.
A short time later police arrested a 47-year-old Georgian man, who is believed to be involved in the case. Investigations regarding the motives of the attack are still under way.
