The President of the Eurogroup Jeroen Dijsselbloem commented on Friday that it is up to the Greek people to decide how they vote on Sunday, whether Greece should accept the bailout terms set out by its creditors.

Mr. Dijsselbloem made the statement when he asked by reporters on how the Greek people should vote in Sunday’s referendum. The Dutch Finance Minister argued that it is important for Europe, but above all, it is important for Greece.

Earlier in the week Mr. Dijsselbloem had warned that a ‘no’ vote on Sunday would be interpreted as a rejection of the euro and a step towards a departure from the single currency zone.
