A judge who was involved in the Noor1 case, among others, received a suspicious package in the post and contacted the police.

The bomb squad promptly arrived and determined that the package contained a bomb disguised as a book and neutralized the mechanism. The bomb reportedly contained razor blades and firecrackers and is similar to another mail bomb that had been sent to the president of Appeal Court Judges Isidora Poga, who was involved in the imprisonment of relatives of Conspiracy of Fire Cells members.

Aside from his involvement in the Noor1 case, the judicial officer had denied SYRIZA MEP Konstantina Kouneva compensation worth 250,000 euro from the Ecomet company, for the life-threatening attack against her. The judge later withdrew his decision.
