Another world dawns after the British voters decided to leave the European Union.
The Brexit vote changes the political correlations in Europe, opens the floodgates of secession, bolsters antisystemic forces and now everything is fluid and possible.
The European Union, until recently the most powerful and interesting post-war political construct, is now openly disputed, losing forces and abilities and is being threatened with shrinking and retreat, unless it reacts in time, if it does not change direction and priorities.
Nothing can be ruled out anymore. Everything is possible and the threat of a return to states of protectionism, entrenchment and prevailing nationalist beliefs is visible to the naked eye.
In any case, with their choice, the British voters seem to move history and lead it into uncharted waters.
Greece, which has been at the forefront of the major financial crisis and suffered from the obsessives in Brussels, has to duty to act soberly and with attention.
After many burdens, efforts and sacrifices the country has achieved a relative stability and is not directly threatened by the Brexit, but will have to face dangers that will emerge from a possible European collapse.
There will be troubled times ahead of us, with geopolitical upheavals and national threats are certainties.
The political world has a duty to protect the country, but putting national unity first and above all other political aims.
