The Bank of Greece made an announcement on Thursday explaining how at is requestl the European Central Bank has reduce the ceiling of the Emergency Liquidity Assistance (ELA) to Greek banks to by 1 billion euros.
As such, the new ELA ceiling for Greek banks is 68.1 billion euros. This reduction reflects an improvement of the liquidity situation of Greek banks, amid a reduction of uncertainty and the stabilization of private sector deposits flows.
