Following the breakdown in negotiations with the creditors in Brussels on Sunday, many SYRIZA MPs feel that the government has reached an impasse.

With a series of government and political meetings expected to be called, the Vice President of Parliament Alexis Mitropoulos has requested that SYRIZA’s Parliamentary Group convenes prior to any decisions being taken in the final phase of negotiations with the troika.

According to some rumors, the Greek government is considering the unlikely possibility of extending talks, so that the Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras may demand a resolution at the summit scheduled for the 25th of June.
