A violent clash that broke out between cell mates at Domokos prison early on Friday morning resulted in one death and left another inmate seriously injured.
Initial reports state that one prisoner assaulted his two other cellmates with an implemented knife, killing one and seriously injuring the other in the abdomen. At present there are no indications as to the assailant’s motive.
The prison guards intervened and managed to subdue the assaulting prisoner, while the wounded inmate has been taken to the hospital in Lamia. Local media report that police forces have arrived on the scene and that there is great tension in the prison.
