The agreement providing the mobility of young people between Greece and Canada which was signed during Canadian Prime Minister S. Harper’s visit to Greece in May 2011, has come into effect.

According to the agreement, a young Greek and Canadian citizens (aged 18 to 35), will follow a simpler procedure to visit, stay and work for up to 12 months in each respective country, provided they fulfill one of the following requirements:

  • They have a post-secondary or university-grade qualification and wish to gain work experience with a fixed employment contract.
  • They are currently studying for a post-secondary or university-grade qualification and wish to gain work practical experience.
  • They are on a long-term vacation, with the possibility of temporary employment to supplement their resources.
