The union of EOPYY doctors (ENI-EOPYY) has issued a statement warning that many primary healthcare units may end up without any doctors in July, since many contracts expire at the end of June.

In its statement to the president of EOPYY Sotiris Bersimis, the union also stressed that the deadline for a a number of payments that were due in February expires at the 28th of June.

About 10% of doctors contracted by EOPYY have also not been paid for exams and tests they performed in January, the union adds, in spite of assurances that payments would be made “within days”.
