The Archbishop of Athens and All Greece Ieronymos underlined that the Church property “does not belong to the State, is not for sale and cannot be mortgaged” during a Hieratic Synaxis in Thessaly on Monday.

As underlined on he website of the Diocese of Demetrias, the Archbishop spoke about what is “being planned for the future, such as the Church losing its public nature, with all the entails” such as the suspension of the clergy payroll.
