A 32-year-old man was tragically killed early on Wednesday morning on the train tracks at the Sykourio junction, just outside Larissa.
The engine driver reported that he saw the victim fall on the train track at the last moment. No passengers were injured in the incident.
An ambulance and the police promptly arrived on scene and recovered the victim’s remains from the track.
Traffic on the train tracks has been restored and an investigation has been launched.
