It appears that the coalition government crisis stemming from the controversial statement of Alternate Minister of Migration Yannis Mouzalas on ‘Macedonia’ has been resolved.

According to a report in Ta Nea, the president of the Independent Greeks Panos Kammenos has revised his initial position that Mr. Mouzalas’ comment was a “crime” to being a “verbal mistake”. This was further confirmed in Tuesday evening’s discussion in Parliament, where Mr. Kammenos stressed that he will support the Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras until the end”.

Nevertheless, the Deputy Minister of Infrastructure Marina Chrysoveloni noted that the issue over this “verbal mistake” has not yet been resolved. The Independent Greeks MP added that the Prime Minister and his coalition government partner will find a solution.
